Meagan Lynn, Host, Actress and Social Media Manager
Meagan Lynn is a multi-passionate creative storyteller: an actress, host, and social media manager. She’s worked on social media and content creation for the likes of Sophia Amoruso and Maria Menounos, interviewed top celebrities and filmmakers as a host at AfterBuzz TV and currently hosts and produces her own podcast and YouTube series, Ten Minute Talks. Meagan is currently represented as an actress and host by JTA Talent.

Tell us about you and your current role or area of interest.
I have several jobs - I host and write articles for AfterBuzz TV, manage a portfolio of social media clients, host and produce my own podcast and act. Ultimately, I'm a storyteller and love sharing stories in all their many forms.
What do you like about your career or area of focus?
I love connecting with others and having new experiences and conversations every day.
What is the best advice you have ever received?
Every decision is based on either fear or love; choose love.
Who inspires you, motivates you, or helps you to move forward?
My Mom. I want to be able to give back to her for all she has given to me.
What are you proud of in your life so far?
Never placing limits on myself and what I can do. I'm constantly exploring new opportunities.
What is your preferred way to meet new people/network?
Through mutual friends or Clubhouse.
What skills or qualities do you feel have helped you?
Empathy, compassion and curiosity.
What do you wish you had known when you started?
Other people's expectations of you don't matter.
What do you most admire in business, academic or creative circles?
Gratitude and a genuine desire to help and serve.
Outside of your professional/work area, what hobbies or interests do you have or what other areas of your life are of real importance to you?
I'm currently in voice lessons and learning piano. I love music!
Has the pandemic had a positive or a negative effect on you and/or your business, and how have you been managing it?
Positive - it's forced me to start focusing on what I truly want and to create my own opportunities.
Do you have a mentor, or have you ever mentored anyone?
Yes, Producer/Director and AfterBuzz TV founder Keven Undergaro. He’s been my mentor since I was an intern at AfterBuzz in 2018 and has been instrumental in guiding and advising me in my career, as he has for many other successful professionals in Hollywood. He never lets me settle and always pushes me to do my best!
What advice would you have for someone looking to get into the same area of work or interests?
Don't wait for someone to hire you - create your own opportunities!
What do you feel is the most common reason for people failing or giving up?
Their heart isn't in the right place.
Is there a phrase, quote or a saying that you really like?
Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. - Deuteronomy 31:6

How do you define success, and what lessons have you learned so far that you could share with our audience/readership?
Success is to love and to be loved and to walk that out every day. The number one lesson I've learned is you're not doing anyone any favours by playing small.
