LinkedIn for my business. Clubhouse, the power of the voice and having real-time conversations, is so impactful and rewarding.

Tell us about you and your current role or area of interest.

I am the Director and founder of FORTE ITC. We are a specialist Search Contingent Recruitment Consultancy formed by the demands and needs of clients and candidates alike, in providing a value-added service that matches delivery with quality. It's all about making the right choices.

What do you like about your career or area of focus?

My ability to make a significant impact on people's lives with their careers, landing your dream job, career pivot and securing promotions. My ability as an accountability careers coach to people and companies.

What is the best advice you have ever received?

No, what if's!

What inspires you, motivates you, or helps you to move forward?

My children and my background, having come from nothing.

What are you proud of in your life so far?

My family and how I have overcome adversities.

What is your preferred way to meet new people/network?

In-person, or phone call.

What skills or qualities do you feel have helped you?

Resilience, my drive and my passion to be the very best at what I do.

What do you wish you had known when you started out?

There is a never perfect time to do your business.

Who do you most admire in business, academic or creative circles and why?

Elon Musk.

Outside of your professional/work area, what hobbies or interests do you have or what other areas of your life are of real importance to you?

Tennis, politics, history, walks and debates.

Has the pandemic had a positive or a negative effect on you and/or your business, and how have you been managing it?

It has been a reset on so many levels.

Do you have a mentor or have you ever mentored anyone?

I mentor people.

What advice would you have for someone looking to get into the same area of work or interests?

Start a business that you know about. Accept that you make mistakes, which is okay as you take risks and you are not scared.

What do you feel is the most common reason for people failing or giving up?

Not being able to deal with rejection, not having a bouncy bum in coming back up, learn from your failures.

What companies, brands, or institutions do you like or do you think are getting it right?

Apple, Tesla and big tech, as tech is the future.
