What do you like about your current role?

In my role as owner, I still love to have a hands-on approach and personally work on components of our client’s accounts. I love taking the soul of a brand, business or individual and interpreting that into the online space. I love to work with my team to bounce ideas, get creative, and develop new ways to market in line with trends and changes! I love working with my team, and we run regular brainstorming/training sessions together where I learn as much from them as they do from me! The platforms we cover in our omnichannel strategy are YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter and LinkedIn.

What are your favourite books?

I love Susan Jeffers' book, 'Feel the Fear and do it Anyway'. This is an excellent book about the decisions we make in life (big and small). We often think there is a right decision with good consequences and a wrong one with bad consequences. As a result, we can usually continue as we are because we are crippled by the fear of making the wrong choice. In this book, Susan Jeffers encourages you to think of decisions not with a good or a bad outcome but with one outcome or a different outcome. Even if the outcome isn't necessarily what we hoped for - by making a decision and being brave, we've put ourselves out there. We've done something new. We've put ourselves out of our comfort zone. We've learnt more about ourselves, including maybe what we don't like. We've lived and grown.

Who do you most admire and why?

I admire Richard Branson as I see him as someone authentic; for me, authenticity is everything. I also see him as someone who takes the time with others and will be honest and open in his answers. I also really admire Jacinta Adern - not for political reasons, but more because she is a mother, ran a country, and, Like Richard Branson, is authentic. She is not afraid to show her vulnerability.

What is the best advice you have ever received?

That mindset is everything regarding success. We can be given a strategy to execute something like a ninja warrior, but if we don't believe in ourselves that we can pull it off, the best strategy in the world will not work!

What motivates or inspires you?

I am passionate about living new experiences, taking opportunities that come to you, saying yes and figuring it out later! What motivates me is leaving this world with a soul full of incredible experiences and experiences that I have shared with my children. Experiences that teach us all something and help us grow stronger and wiser each time!

What would you like to highlight and share with our audience?

I want to highlight something for business owners looking after their own marketing. I know it can be hard and repetitive, so here is my advice... please don't worry about your follower count; it is better to have targeted followers than a large following who aren't engaged, so work on connections, engaging with your audience, and the rest will follow! Talk to your audience online as if you would in real life - don't look at it as a camera; look at it as if you are in the room with them and remind yourself that you are making a difference in someone’s life/business.
