Founder of Signet LLC: Definitive & creative thinking on the investment, business, economics & risk of the Middle East & North Africa; over 20 years of analysing, researching, writing and developing businesses in and for the MENA region (after covering global markets).
Angus is an award-winning investment analyst: No 1 Institutional Investor, Global Finance's Global Emerging Markets Superstar, and double Extel-rated team. Advising businesses in the MENA region on risk analysis, due diligence, & working on policy development across and investment into the MENA region.
Angus led the team to list the 1st Egypt GDR for CIB, & the first fund to allow foreigners to invest in Saudi Arabia, the US$250m SAIF Fund, amongst other key ECM deals which kick-started foreign investment into the MENA region's capital markets.
He helped pioneer international capital market transactions and economic & corporate research on the MENA region's stock markets, economies, and political risk.
Angus has developed large emerging markets businesses in London from scratch (southern EU and MENA region). Previously, a stock market strategist in London for Barings and ABN AMRO.
Signet LLC utilises experience to advise and help corporates/institutions/governments with decision-making, investing, risk and policy creation in the MENA region.
Angus invests in new start-ups & small enterprises. He is a mentor and a regular speaker at events: corporate & public, as well as the media, on developments across, and forecasts for, the MENA region.
He is committed to deepening business and cultural links between the UK & Europe with the MENA region, improved corporate governance & start-ups. Angus is appointed to the Egyptian British Business Council and regularly speaks on this topic, including in discussions on CNBC with Hadley Gamble, Anchor and Senior International Correspondent.
