Steve Pugh
Steve Pugh is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer with values based on empowering people and creating positive and creative cultures. In 2011 he invented a world-first financial fund which unlocked £300+ million of work for UK companies, building and safeguarding thousands of jobs. In 2018 Steve wrote his first book, and in 2021 he launched a business, Roadmap MBA bringing accessible and free business education and training to the world.
The Roadmap MBA mission is to make business education and training accessible for five billion people. Steve believes that it shouldn't matter where you grow up or your financial background to decide if you can access information to help you build a better life for yourself. Steve and the team understand that good business education can help almost everyone, and they are building something which gives the complete roadmap to grow a business or career as an alternative to a traditional MBA, based on real-world skills designed for people with passion, not a privilege.
For businesses, this is the opportunity to train a team with high-quality, low-cost training accessible from anywhere. The Roadmap MBA can also support CSR and ESG credentials through community programmes.
Steve and the team at Roadmap MBA are on a mission to help people around the world build a better life for themselves, creating an accessible platform for all communities to thrive and celebrate together. They currently have users in over 50 countries and are growing.
Steve holds a Master of Engineering (MEng) Hons, Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Philosophy (MPhil), Mechanical Engineering Tribology, Lubricant performance in aircraft landing gear pin joints from The University of Sheffield. He has been published twice in respected journals and presented at international conferences worldwide. During his time at the university, he also won a special award for developing new teaching and communication methods for children with Cerebral Palsy.
In addition, Steve has an International MBA in Business Administration and Management from the University of Sunderland.
