Fiona McEntee

Fiona McEntee, the Founding and Managing Attorney of McEntee Law Group, joins this episode of The Global Discussion. Fiona's journey from Dublin, Ireland, to becoming a leading voice in U.S. immigration law is compelling. Fiona set foot in Chicago in 2002 as an international exchange student at DePaul University's College of Law. The city captured her heart, leading her to pursue her Juris Doctor at Chicago-Kent College of Law, which she achieved in 2007.

With her team at McEntee Law Group, Fiona represents a diverse clientele, from individuals and families to globally recognised musicians, artists, athletes, and entrepreneurs. Their mission is to guide clients through the intricate maze of U.S. immigration policies and help them realise their American Dream.

Fiona's expertise hasn't gone unnoticed. As a Media & Advocacy Committee member for the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), she serves as a national spokesperson. Major media outlets, including MSNBC, BBC, CNN.com, and The New York Times, frequently seek her insights on immigration matters.

Fiona's expertise on the O-1 visa, the EB-1 green card, and startup visa legislation is unparalleled. She's a regular at AILA Conferences, leading panel discussions on the O-1 visa. Moreover, Fiona is now a two-time author. Her recent publication, U.S. Immigration Options for Startups: Accelerate Your American Dream, provides a comprehensive guide for startup founders navigating the U.S. immigration system. Fiona's children's book, Our American Dream, won accolades for its poignant message on immigration. Through its pages, Fiona, a mother of two and an immigrant herself, emphasises the significance of a diverse and welcoming America.

With roots as a proud Irish immigrant and a naturalised U.S. citizen, Fiona has a unique and personal perspective on the challenges and aspirations of immigrants. Her dedication to advancing immigrants' rights is evident in her extensive work. From presenting written statements to Congress advocating for a startup visa to taking on the Trump Administration by challenging the controversial Travel Ban, her actions speak volumes about her commitment.

Fiona's expertise hasn't gone unnoticed. She has been a prominent voice in many of the world's most well-known media outlets.
